Moringa (full name Moringa Oleifera) is locally known as سوہانجنا in Urdu.
Moringa tree is not only highly nutritious and but also offers many medicinal benefits. All parts of the tree are eaten or used as ingredients. Moringa leaves have the most diverse and common applications from food recipes to medicine. Moringa pods are commonly used in preparation of foods. Oil from its seeds is used in foods, perfume, and hair care products.
Moringa tree flourishes in semi-arid conditions and blooms in summer season in Pakistani climate. Moringa is generally sown in early spring from (March to October) for ensuring healthy plant growth during late spring / summer before the Winter cold arrives. It grows fast and should reach 4-6 feet height within 4-6 months.
